Guitar Power Chords

This lesson is about basic guitar power chords. A power chord is just two notes. It allows people to instantly start playing no matter what their skill level is. It is used in blues, metal, rock, punk rock.

A power chord is neither major or minor and allows you play up and down the neck. It is a moveable shape meaning you can play the same pattern up and down the neck and it will be consistent.

Fingering: Use the index finger for the first note of each chord and the middle finger for the second note of each.

Below is a basic example of how to play the song "Wild Thing"
